Getting started

  1. Open Stenograph and tap the red record button on the Library tab. Grant microphone access when prompted.
  2. Record your meeting, call, or interview. Recording continues even with the screen locked.
  3. Tap the recording in your Library, then tap Transcribe. The first run downloads the speech model (~150 MB); after that, transcription is fully local.
  4. Tap Analyze for an on-device summary, decisions, and action items. Export to Markdown, PDF, SRT, or plain text.

Common questions

What devices are supported?

Stenograph needs iOS 26 and an iPhone with Apple Intelligence (iPhone 17 Pro or later, or an M-series iPad) for on-device transcription and AI analysis. Roughly 500 MB of free storage is needed for the speech model, downloaded on first run.

Does my audio get uploaded?

Never. There are no Stenograph servers. Transcription, speaker labeling, and AI analysis all run on your device. The only network calls are the first-run model download and the App Store rate link — see the privacy policy for the full audit.

Is it a subscription?

No. Stenograph is a one-time purchase that unlocks every feature — recording, transcription, speaker labeling, summaries, search, and export. No usage caps, no recurring fees.
